Job Description:
He would be responsible for assisting the sales teams to drive top line revenues for the organization.
Help qualify accounts, answer RFP/RFIs, architecting & delivering solution based presentations, and delivering proof of concepts in the areas of Server DataCenter Management, Network Management & Monitoring, Helpdesk/ Desktop Management, Security and DR.
He would be responsible for working with the Sales Team to handle any technical questions or issues that arise during a sales cycle and setting appropriate customer expectations. Showing the value proposition to the customers and help close the sale.
As part of the job, the position is required to interact with various sales and technical teams across the globe. Meet customers, participate in customer sales and technical meetings, educate and empower the sales force.
Travel is an integral part of the job. The person might be required to travel locally, regionally and internationally as business demands.
Desired Candidate Profile
Mandatory Requirements for the role
Technical
4 year (Technical Degree Computer Science/ Electronics preferred)
More than 6 years of overall technical experience working in a medium to large IT enterprise
Exposure in working with multi-cultural, multi-geo IT teams
Experience in servicing/ dealing with NA/ EU customers
Should have worked for atleast 3 years as a Subject Matter Expert in any of the following areas Unix Administration, Microsoft Server Technologies, Database Administration, Network/ WAN Management, Security Consulting.
Experience in working with / administering/ implementing any one Network Monitoring Solutions (HPOV, BMC Patrol, IBM Tivoli, CA UniCenter etc)
Exposure to H/w computing platforms (HP, IBM, SUN, Wintel).
Exposure to Network Technologies and H/w a plus (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, F5 etc).
Relational databases (primarily Oracle and SQL Server) exposure required
Experience in working with any one Incident Management systems (Remedy, Magic etc)
Is able to describe IMS Service Lines & Products and how they interact with 3rd party technologies.
Can participate in technical meetings/ solution discussions with customers.
Has the ability to assess a customer's business problem and recommend appropriate technical solutions.

Is able to help qualifying a sales opportunity.
Is able to talk with different audiences, appropriately adjust technical content to meet different audience knowledge and interest, and can juggle meetings with multiple audience levels.
Is able to handle customer objections by determining the real business problem, articulating our ability to solve their problems, and finding creative solutions rather than answering 'no'.
Possesses an understanding of sales methodologies and can apply them in a sales situation.
Be able to position capabilities against the competition.
Has the ability to handle most customer meetings without the assistance of other staff.

PG/ Masters in Business Administration
Exposure / Certification in ITIL

Exposure of managing or working in an ERP environment highly preferred.
Relational reporting tools exposure preferred
ETL tools and processes exposure preferred
Web Server Environments (IIS, Netscape, iPlanet, Websphere and Weblogic etc)
